With The Street Biennial, Éric Garence reveals a more unexpected side of his work.

Known for his colourful illustrations, he moves here into a territory closer to contemporary art and social observation. As he travels, Garence spontaneously intervenes on abandoned objects found in the street, adds a few words, then photographs them.

Blending poetry, humour, absurdity and a reflection on our relationship with consumption, these discarded objects become, for a brief moment, the works of an imaginary biennial.

The street becomes a gallery without walls.
